For the Nordic Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2012 Lies-Marie created a sculpture in cooperation with In Praise Of Shadow architecture office. The sculpture is made out of a 103 years old elm tree which got felled at Djurgården in Stockholm because of the Dutch Elm Disease. The form of the sculpture relates to elements in Sverre Fehnsʻ Nordic Pavilion in Venice. The pavilion celebrated its 50th anniversary 2012.
